The Winter Solstice heralds the returning light, minute by minute.

This is one of my favorite gatherings of the year. When we begin to leave the darkness behind, and feel the warmth of longer days. Yes, especially in Maine, it takes a while to see the shift in daylength. For me it’s about honoring the depth of winter and how its stillness enables us to go within. The stillness helps us connect with our souls, and hear what those inner thoughts say to us.
